When me and my beloved Dad, who was my big supporter in the adventure, decided to import a new breed practically the coton was unknown in Italy. So we studied the standard and we travelled to see shows all over Europe to choice our new cotons. Once Simone Simoncelli, very well known breeder of Briard come with us to Belgium where we bought Kissmegay of Woodland cottage. The first imported girls were Bemby de Guitelione and Charlotte the Valuary’s Cottage. At that time there were few persons that also imported cotons, I remember Bacillieri, Ospizi and a beautiful female Diablo Swing Ivoire imported by Cristina Foscale. Later on Rosanna Moretti had a beautiful girl ‘cotonbrie iruwa Idgy’ from whose name she named her Kennel. Nadia Formica anso bred cotons for some years, she had Italian Champion Cotonbrie Ice cream and the Enci winner at WDS , Cotonbrie Only cream. Beatrice Airoldi have the Champions Cotonbrie Norma and Cotonbrie Like an Angel While Stefania Caioli the champs Cotonbrie endless love for proved and Cotonbrie Peter Pan.
Nowadays we are few recognized coton breeders in Italy. The breed in Italy is under CCC, Toy Club, protection.
